  • “...Abboud has demonstrated (commitment to the Village) in his fierce defense of the village as nearby East Dundee considers allowing International Auto Auction to open a facility.”

...Concerns that such a facility would allow gasoline or other fluids in vehicles to seep into the ground and contaminate the local aquifer – Barrington Hills residents rely on well water – has led Abboud to vigorously protest it being built there.”

... We endorse Abboud for another term.”

“I have always called Barrington Hills home and because of that, I am running for reelection in April to preserve 5-acre zoning and prevent high-density development. This ensures our unique rural character, open space, property values, clean water and public safety. In addition, I will continue to execute responsible financial management of the village, while providing exceptional services to our residents.”

      —  Bob Abboud  —

I am proud of my record
of balanced budgets and fiscal discipline during my
tenure as your Village President. We have an aggregate
under budget of more than $624k
    since 2007
    .

    A Few of Bob’s Accomplishments:

    • No property tax levy increases during the last 4 budget years and reduced spending from 2011 to 2012.

    • Continue to fight off developers that want to build high density zoning, and continue to ensure Barrington Hills stays a 5-acre minimum, rural, equestrian community.

    • Continue our intergovernmental relationships that have saved our taxpayers millions of dollars and protected our environment.

    • Continue to enhance government transparency both on the award winning website and through social media and enhanced newsletter.

“ ... Robert Abboud, first elected in 2005, doesn't hesitate to challenge nearby towns over development he believes threatens Barrington Hills' environment and
    way of life ... ”

“... we think Barrington Hills residents are better served by Abboud's experience and tireless work on the community's behalf.”
