    ELAINE RAMESH:

Re-Elect Elaine Ramesh Trustee, Barrington Hills Village Board

Elaine, her husband, three horses, two Dalmatians and other assorted animals have been residents of Barrington Hills for seven years. Elaine has served on the Riding Club Board of Directors. She has represented the Riding Club on the Management Board for the Barrington-Countryside Park Districts Riding Center.

Elaine served as Village Clerk under President Bob Abboud for three years until appointed to fill the Trustee position left open upon Trustee McKevitt's resignation.

The Roads and Bridges of the community fall under the responsibility of Elaine. She is also the Village Board liaison to the Equestrian Commission. When not busy with Village matters and horses, Elaine is the Director of Business Development and Intellectual Property at a local pharmaceutical company. Elaine holds a JD from Chicago Kent College and a PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University. Gig'em!

Elaine does not believe that Barrington Hills is just another "residential community". She works to help preserve the residents rights to participate in all equestrian activity because she believes Barrington Hills is a special village, with rich heritage worth preserving.

    • She has been active in representing Barrington Hills with respect to matters such as CN's acquisition of the E J & E.
    • Getting the portion of our Village in D300 back into D220
    • An active participant in the Duda disconnection issue.
    • Changed the clerk’s position from being primarily figurehead to an important component of the village government.
    • Made the Clerk responsible for properly documenting and reviewing executive minutes for public release.
    • Making the Village Board more public friendly and transparent.

When she finds time, Elaine enjoys trail riding on her trusty steed Flint. She has dabbled in dressage, but her first love is hunter/jumpers. She has also confessed a secret desire to one-day ride (and maybe even jump!) sidesaddle.

“Abboud is the best choice because of his tireless efforts on behalf of Barrington Hills.”
